Join us for the second year of a sweet holiday tradition!
Take a break from the books and flex your creative muscles with the IDVA community at a Winterland of Gingerbread event! Bring your own gingerbread house (on a cardboard base) to add to the IDVA gingerbread village, or just come and enjoy some holiday activities.
We want our gingerbread community to be made up of the most inventive architectural designs, so put on those winter thinking caps today! All attendees will receive a special certificate for participating.

What are Winterland of Gingerbread events?
These are winter-themed events where families can help assemble a gingerbread village using decorated gingerbread homes and enjoy some good holiday cheer! Please bring an assembled gingerbread home on a cardboard base (up to 18" x 18" in size). You can build your house from scratch or use a kit. Download additional assembly tips and a recipe here.
Who are IDVA Winterland of Gingerbread events for?
All IDVA families and kids are welcome at these events, as well as anyone who is interested in our school and having some holiday fun!
How many people may I bring with me?
Bring the whole family, and any friends or neighbors who might be interested.
Anything special I should know?
We'll be serving holiday treats that could potentially contain ingredients not suitable for children with certain food allergies. Therefore, we request that you download, print, sign, and bring a copy of our Waiver of Liability form to the Winterland of Gingerbread event you plan on attending. If your child suffers from food allergies, please plan accordingly for food and beverages.
